Become a Monthly Donor:
Your monthly gift is a cost-effective, reliable and a consistent source of funding for ALS Nova Scotia.
Donations can be processed more efficiently than single gifts and guarantees that very close to 100% of
your gift is directed back into our programs and services. Monthly giving leaves you in control.
At any time you can increase, decrease, pause or stop your donations, all at your convenience.
It's easy, flexible, convenient and, most of all, rewarding. Your monthly gift will help ensure that we
are able to continue to support Nova Scotians living with ALS. A gift of $10, $20 or $30 / month - just
$1 a day - will make a difference.

Gifts in Kind (ie. equipment, general/office)
Gifts in kind (GIK) is a kind of charitable giving in which, instead of giving money to buy needed goods
and services, the goods and services themselves are given. ALS NS is happy to receive Gifts-in-Kind as
long as they are of real use to the Society. At the top of our list of needs is client equipment, power
chairs, electric hospital beds, bath aides, lifts etc. Donations of office supplies, equipment and
furniture are also often useful. Services - though a little more challenging do define and receipt -
are also most welcome.
