Come and join ALS NS and “Together, we will make a difference.” With your help, Nova Scotians living with ALS will have access to the equipment, information and support they need to have quality of life; however they wish to define it.
We all know that ALS means Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. At the WALKS for ALS, for a few hours, ALS will also mean Always Lotsa Smiles as we gather with family and friends for snacks and face painting, a little exercise and fresh air. Whatever the weather, the atmosphere will be warm and friendly – sharing hope and love for those who are living, or have lived, with ALS.

Links to a Cure began in 2003. This event was the brainchild of Gary Spence, a 'golfer
exraordinair'. When Gary was diagnosed with ALS he decided to use his passion for golf to make a difference.
Since 2003 about $50,000 has been raised. Traditionally this event is held at the Riverrun Golf Course (near Truro) on
the 2nd Friday in September.
